The day usually begins at dawn. Guests gather at the Boma for coffee, tea and rusks before the early morning game drive conducted by an experienced BIG FIVE game ranger. Rangers have experience in tracking of animals and an encyclopedic knowledge of plants & animals

Game drives are conducted in open game viewing vehicles.

Guided bush walk can be arranged or guests can lounge by the rock pools - overlooking the Klaserie River. Bird lovers will be impressed with the abundance of species local to the area.

On return, guests are invited to a traditional South African breakfast in the Boma. After breakfast, guests can do as little or as much as they please. They may want to join in on short discussions held in the Boma regarding the game, environment , etc.

During the afternoon game drive guests will be treated to sundowners & snacks in the bush. In the event of a game drive continuing after dark, game will be viewed by spotlight.

Once back at the lodge, guests gather around a traditional bushveld fire - where the mind wanders and thoughts roam - while becoming aware of lions roaring in the distance and the crackling of bushes and trees as elephants feed by the river.
